2024 FOST Coaches

We are excited to have Coach Jess and Coach Celine back this season and sharing the Head Coaching position!

Coach Jessica Horst:

Jessica has been around pools all of her life. Swimming summer league from age 3-14,and then moving onto USA swimming full time. She was a four year letterman at Oak Ridge High School, a school and state record holder, and state champion before receiving a scholarship to swim at the University of Houston. There she earned the C-USA Freshman Swimmer of the Year accolade, was again a four year letterman, and held multiple school records and NCAA cuts.

She has been teaching swim lessons on and off since age 13 (when her training schedule would allow it). After high school she coached summer league every summer for three years, in both an assistant and head coach capacity. Following her graduation from UH she was an assistant coach for The Woodlands Swim Team, as well as a learn to swim program instructor before leaving the programs to become a full time mom.

She has lived in Devonshire since 2017 and has two children, Wyatt and Scout, who both swim and you are bound to see around the pool deck!  Jess' coaching goals are to help all athletes have a positive experience, ensure every athlete gets technical attention and a better understanding of stroke mechanics, and instilling a sense of self pride and sportsmanship in every swimmer.

Coach Celine VanDerlofske:

Celine has always loved the water. She swam summer league from ages 5 to 15, and Team FINS from ages 9 to 13. Due to an early shoulder injury, she was unable to swim in high school, but stayed around the water as much as possible by teaching private lessons for young swimmers when the time was available.

After high school, she coached for Wimbledon for 3 years as assistant coach. After the pandemic, she joined Forest Oaks Swim Team and is coming back for her third year! She is incredibly excited to be back and is ready for another great season. Celine’s goals for this season are to encourage young athletes to have fun doing what they love, encourage good sportsmanship, and improving technique and endurance.

Assistant Coach Brooke Dailey:

FOST is so excited to have Brooke joining the coaches this year as an assistant coach!   She is a lifetime Barracuda and swam for Klein Collins High School.

Assistant Coach Ava Inman:

We are happy to welcome Ava Inman as a new Asst Coach!  She was a 15 year swimmer and 4 year Varsity swimmer at Klein Collins High School.  She currently attends Texas A&M University and is excited to jump back into the swim community!
