Message from FOST President

A Huge Welcome to our returning FOST families and also to our new FOST families. The FOST Board and Coaches were thrilled with the attendance of our Splash and FOST Barracuda Swimmers yesterday. I look forward to meeting you all as the season progresses. I will be available at all practices today to answer any questions or concerns and just to say hello.

Forest Oaks Swim Team has the best facility to train and compete in throughout all of NWAL. (North West Aquatics League-our governing body). I want to remind and inform all FOST families and swimmers that we are GUESTS of FOSRC (Forest Oaks Swim and Racquet Club). Please follow all instructions that our team communicates to you.

I want to emphasize some of these rules to everyone.

1) Please park down by the tennis courts. The parking lot closest to the pool is for club members, not swim families.

2) No swimmers/siblings are allowed on the tennis courts, climbing on the walls, and hanging on the guard rails in front of the gym.

3) We must keep the walkway (including handrails) clear of kids, bags and any other form of obstruction to allow members to enter gym peacefully. Only members are allowed in the gym or on the tennis courts.

4) Please remember to pick up after yourselves, and remind your swimmers to do the same on the pool deck.

5) Unless it is health or injury related, we need coaches attention on deck at all times to be on swimmers, NOT conversing with parents. Any questions, please email the coach or ask a board member.

We are looking forward to an awesome 2019 season and are excited that all of you are a part of it. Feel free to ask me or any other board member any questions you may have. There are a lot of moving parts to a swim team, and we are more than happy to share information with any and all of you.

Swim Fast,

Phil Sommer

FOST President
