Summer Thunder Invitational registration is now open!!  Some of you new Barracudas may be asking "what is an invitational?"   It's an extra meet that your swimmer must qualify for in order to participate. Qualifying times are in the packet attached.  You may also see if your swimmer qualifies when you got to Meet Entry in SwimTopia.

If your swimmer would like to attend, please got to the meet entry and RSVP them ASAP.  ENTRIES ARE DUE BY SUNDAY, MAY 30TH 10 AM, no exceptions.  **11/12's and Under - MUST qualify for at least 1 event and then can choose additional bonus events up to 4 individual events. **   Please type the bonus events into the Coach Notes section and we will add them manually.  

Cost is $11 per individual event, no charge for relays. Payment must be made to FOST via Venmo or Paypal no later than June 5th.    

TIME AND DATE @ KLEIN HIGH SCHOOL: 

Sunday, June 6th: 2 sessions - 9-10 Session and 8 & Under session. 

1st Session warm-ups start at 9:30 am/meet will start at 10:45 am.   2nd Session warmups will start immediately after 1st session.

Sunday, June 13th: 3 Sessions – 11-12 Session, 13-14 Session and 15-19 Session. 1st Session warmups start at 7:30 am and the meet will start at 8:45 am. 2nd and 3rd Session times will start immediately after prior session and be posted week of meet once estimated timeline is run.

QUALIFYING TIMES:

This Invitational Meet is designed to encourage and foster competitive Summer League Swimming. All swimmers 13 years and older are invited to attend regardless of seed times. Swimmers 12 years and younger must have achieved minimum qualifying times in the attached order of events. Time Trial times WILL be allowed as long as the swimmer has not achieved an official time. Once an official time is achieved, the Time Trial Time is no longer available to use. NT or No Time will not be allowed. 

BONUS Events – Swimmers that have a qualifying time for at least 1 individual event will be allowed to swim additional events, for a maximum of 4 individual events, provided they have a legal time swum at a time trial or a sanctioned NWAL meet, with exception of 11 - 12 100 Free; 10 & under 50 Free and 100 IM for 12 & Under. NTs will not be excepted. **EXCEPTION – 11 - 12 100 Free, 10 & under 50 Free and 100 IM for all ages: The 11-12 100 Free and the 50 free for swimmers 10 & Under and 100 IM for swimmers 12 & Under cannot be added as a bonus. Swimmers MUST achieve the time standard in that event in order to enter.
