MEET INFORMATION FOR 10 & UNDER SESSION – JUNE 6ᵗʰ The natatorium will open at 9:00 am for swimmers and spectators to enter. Please do not enter before this time. Masks are strongly encouraged inside Klein ISD buildings, but no longer required.
WARM UP TIMES & LANE ASSIGNMENTS ARE IN ATTACHED PACKET
PARKING: PLEASE REFER TO MAP WITHIN THIS PACKET FOR PARKING INFORMATION. It is in parking lot in front of the school due to graduation ceremonies.
Due to current Klein ISD capacity restrictions, each meet session will have up to 200 swimmers, plus 1 spectator per swimmer per session. All swimmers and their 1 spectator will sit in stands in pool area during their session and then exit once their session is complete. No additional seating will be available this year in other parts of the school building. Please bring only 1 spectator per swimmer to the meet. No additional spectators will be able to enter natatorium.
We will be streaming all the meet sessions on our Public PACK Swimming Facebook Page, which will allow additional family members or friends to watch the meet as well at: https://www.facebook.com/PACK-Swimming-1987124501... With the small size of the sessions, there will be plenty of seating for all swimmers and their spectator in the stands in the natatorium to appropriately distance from other families. Do not bring additional items, such as chairs, large coolers, blankets, pillows, etc. We have inserted short breaks in the meet, so that swimmers will have plenty of rest in between their events. See estimated timeline for the session included in this packet, which includes the designated breaks. Entire 10 & Under session is estimated to be less than 3 hours. Please remember, there is no flash photography allowed at the start of the race. Swimmers must enter and leave the facility in their swimsuits. Restrooms will be for restroom use only, no changing allowed
This year we will be using a linear ready area for swimmer within the pool area to line up for their heat. - When a swimmer’s heat is 3 heats after the heat in the water, the swimmer will move to a Ready Area on the side of the pool on the spectator side. There will be dots on ground, numbered 1-8 and they will stand on their dot that matches their lane #. Please do not gather in that area early, as we do have plenty of time in between heats, so nobody has to rush. The volunteer at that ready station will let them know when it is time to go to next ready area. Then, once the starting block area is clear for their heat, the volunteer in that area will direct the swimmers to approach the block area. Once a heat exits water, they will then be directed to exit the block area towards the side where coaches are (opposite spectator stands), and then walk around pool to return to their seat.
No concessions will be provided this year. D&J Sports will be selling apparel and swim gear at the meet in the front lobby of the natatorium. A custom Summer Thunder Meet shirt will be on sale as well.
Please let us know if you have any questions!
Swim fast Barracudas!!!
