A. Handicap parking spots will be made available (on a first-come basis). General Parking will be in the South Parking Lot of Klein Forest High School, at the front entrance of Klein Forest High School. No parking is permitted by the athletic fields. TEAMS will not be responsible or liable for families parking at other non-designated areas or along adjacent streets and their shoulders. TEAMS will not be responsible or liable for any violations resulting in vehicles being towed or damaged. A rough outline of designated parking areas is included in the map. Doors open / Pool opens at 6:00!
CHECK-IN TIME: 7:15!!
WARM-UPS: 7:35 – 8:00 (We are the last warm-up group) We suggest you get there early to grab a space for your family.
MEET TIME: 8:30- 3:30 estimated
The school is under renovation and we are using an upstairs gym & hallway for all team set-up areas.
Ready bench & concessions will be downstairs.
**The Meet events go through 86 at Divisionals. Events 43-48 are age group mixed boy/girl free relays. Swimmers can swim in 2 relays at the meet, a regular Medley relay, a Mixed boy/girl free relay, or a regular free relay.
**After the meet team awards will be announced! After the long day try and stay for the excitement and team pictures 🥳🤩🏆 * *Since we are swimming against the 5 other teams in our division expect this meet to run longer.
TEAM SETUP: All teams will be in the upstairs gym FOST will have a set-up team area with a FOST banner. 💚🖤
A. Team setup will be inside the Auxiliary Gym (upstairs) and the immediately adjoining hallway of Klein Forest High School, in designated areas pre-determined by the TEAM REPRESENTATIVES. TEAMS will be responsible for maintaining the setup boundaries, and the general cleanliness/upkeep of these designated areas. No other setup areas are permitted. B. No Generators are permitted. Teams are permitted to use battery-powered fans and other battery-powered equipment as deemed necessary by the TEAM in their respective TEAM setup areas. C. No wagons, air mattresses, or cots are permitted in the setup areas. D. The use of balls will not be permitted in the Gym or other setup areas (i.e., no basketball play Or wall ball, etc). E. No loud or profanity-filled music will be permitted. **Country Lake Estates will have their full team set up area in a hallway outside the gym** Please respect their area!
Spectator viewing and traffic:
A. General spectator viewing will be restricted to the upstairs Spectator Area adjoining the Gym ONLY. A designated area on the bleachers on the south side of the pool will be accessible for ADA compliance for elderly family members and those family members with wheelchairs or walkers.
B. Entry to the spectator viewing areas will be from the GYM. Ropes/painters’ tape will be used to cordon off the team areas and swimmer access points to the ready bench. Spectators SHOULD NOT remain in the bleachers or balcony all day to accommodate other spectators.
There are designated bathrooms for everyone to use upstairs/downstairs.
Swimmers can use the locker rooms that are on deck.
There are 3 stairways that will have safety marshals set up to help guide traffic flow and keep everyone safe & off the stairs. 1. Main set - behind the trophy cases as you enter KF, leads to the setup areas upstairs 2. Ready Bench area 3. Pool exit We will have signs/directions throughout the areas to help navigate where to go.
**No PAINTED HAIR on the grounds or in the pool, or the use of washable markers. Only SHARPIE markers to write event information. Swimmers believed to be wearing washable or water-soluble markers, etc. will be asked to shower/remove markings. This meet takes a big group effort to make it run smoothly.
All six teams are responsible for volunteers! Volunteering at Divisionals is mandatory. Volunteer sign-ups are open. We have several spots not filled! There will be a sound system or an announcer in our area so we can hear the events that are being called, please give your swimmer extra time to get to the heat benches.
Items to bring : Fold-up chairs, pillows, blankets, cooler with sandwiches/snacks are recommended. Games, toys, coloring books, cards, and electronics are welcome!!! *** We have limited space please bring only the necessary items.
*** Please observe entrance signs. Swimmers should not use the Spectator Entrance. Spectators should not use Swimmer Entrances. All team reps are asked and encouraged to monitor this situation. Do not allow “exit only” doors to be propped open unless approved by the Site Supervisor or Meet Director.
- FOOD OPTIONS AT DIVISIONAL MEET WindRose will be hosting concessions at Klein Forest, concession will be downstairs near the entrance area. As always please make sure your swimmer/s are eating healthy food and staying hydrated and not running around the facility. It will be a long day.

REMINDERS :
INVITATIONALS: I know some may be waiting to still qualify for invitationals this Saturday, but all invitational RSVP's/Entries MUST be done by Saturday 7 pm NO EXCEPTIONS. Once your RSVP's are done, we still have to review everything, see if we can setup relays, and run reports for submission which is due starting at 8 am Sunday morning,
INFO: All Stars - Klein High $10 per individ event All Stars 3 Event Bonus Rule– If the swimmer has achieved an ALLSTAR time or better in at least 3 events, the swimmer will be allowed to enter any remaining event(s) as long as they have not reached the cut off time. For more details and exceptions, go to the “3 Event Bonus Rule” section. Swimmer may not bonus the 100 Free, 100 IM and 10 & under 50 Free. Must have qualifying times to enter either of these 3 events.
Ponderosa - Cy Fair Natatorium $12 per individual event FOST covers the cost of any relays.
***Invitational Practice Only: June 16th - June 20th ONLY swimmers who make qualifying times and who will be swimming in one of the Invitation meets will continue with the practice for the last week of June.

**Barracuda Invitational Swimmers mark your calendars! We invite you to our annual pasta carb-load dinner on Thursday t June 19th from 6-8 pm in the FOSRC meeting room to help prepare our Barracudas to swim fast at the invitational meets. We will have a sign up link to bring a pasta dish, salad, and bread The FOST board will have drinks and a cake. More information will go out for this event with the signup link after divisionals.
