Below is the 2026 volunteer information:
Volunteer Sign-Ups
- Sign-ups will open the week of each meet - You'll receive an email and Facebook post with the sign-up link
- Log into your FOST account and sign up for one shift per meet/event initially
- If shifts remain after everyone signs up, we'll open for multiple shifts per family
Mandatory Volunteer Meets
**Mandatory events do not count towards your volunteer points**
- Black and Green (time trial meet)
- Divisionals (with all teams we compete against)
- Invitationals (Shark Splash, Summer Thunder, Red-White & Blue, All-Stars, Ponderosa ) if your swimmer qualifies. These are optional meets.
Volunteer Requirements
- Each family is responsible for 20 volunteer points over the season. For each point over 20, your name will go into a drawing for $100 gift card. This will be given at the end of season party.
- Point values have been simplified to whole numbers (no partial points)
- Each family should expect to volunteer for at least one shift EVERY meet. Remember, volunteering is a marathon, not a sprint! Please spread your shifts across the season instead of frontloading the early meets. For a successful season, we need consistent volunteer support from start to finish. This will also ensure that each family gets ample opportunity to volunteer at all meets.
- If you were going to miss a meet, please ensure that you RSVPed your swimmer as, not attending the meet. This will trigger us when we’re looking at the end of season point totals that you were not available for that meet. If for some reason, your swimmer’s going to be there, but you as a parent cannot please ensure that you have spoken to a board member so we can take note. It is all about communication.
- With our smaller team size, increased volunteer commitment is essential!
**Parents with older swimmers in later events please consider afternoon volunteer shifts. We have a lot of 10 and under that do not swim in the later events **
Sign-In Process (day of meet)
- Sign in with Cedra (Volunteer Coordinator) at each meet
- This ensures you receive credit for your shift
Let's make this an incredible year!
Thank you for your commitment to FOST.
Any questions please ask a board member😊
