Hello All,

You are receiving this email because you have shown a great willingness to Volunteer for the Barracudas this season and we need your help to fill out the remaining open Volunteer positions for this year's Divisional meet this coming Saturday, June 18th.

Currently we have 3 separate Volunteer positions which need to be filled. Hospitality, Safety Marshall and Ready Benches. All other positions have been filled for all shifts.

READY BENCHES There will be specific jobs for each volunteer and there will be 12 other volunteers from other teams, so for each individual volunteer, it will not be too difficult. There will also be "floaters" to help and to TRY and fill in so volunteers will be able to see their child swim. (No guarantees of course). I'm including here the suggested job positions for Ready Bench Volunteers as suggested by Oak Ridge, who will be in charge of Ready Benches this year. You will be assigned one of the positions listed below.

1.     The Ready Bench coordinator will assign the volunteers their positions the day of the event.  Suggested location assignments are:

 ·                One (1) Coordinator and One (1) person calling out swimmer’s names;

·                One (1) person double checking swimmer’s names after they are seated

·                Two (2) persons escorting swimmers to the end of the pool where their event will start 

·                Two (2) persons double checking swimmer’s names at the starting blocks (stationary)

·                Two (2) persons to walk swimmers around to the opposite side of the pool to their relay position

·                Six (6) floating volunteers to maintain the Event Board, relieve other ready bench volunteers (so they can watch their child swim, take a restroom break, etc.), and to assist with logistics as necessary

 3.     The ready bench area will be located in the gym area.  

SAFETY MARSHALLS

There are 3 Safety Marshall positions still open (1 per shift). Again, not anything difficult. 

1st Shift - Stands

2nd Shift - Hall Side Deck 

3rd Shift - Swimmers Entrance

So, basically we only need 12 more volunteers (plus 1 for final Hospitality shift).. so really not too much in the grand scheme of things.
