Divisional Update
Hi Barracuda families,
The season is quickly coming to an end with our divisional meet taking place next Saturday, June 20th, at Klein Collins High School. For those not familiar with how our divisional meet works, we will be swimming against the 5 other teams in our division to decide the division champion. Swimmers who have swum 2 dual meets, with times under 1:30 in 25 yard events will be eligible to swim at our divisional meet. We will automatically enter qualifying swimmers into the meet so if you know you will not be able to attend please let us know by Monday, June 15th, by 6pm.
This will be a large meet with over 800 swimmers entered. As a team we will have volunteer responsibilities as well. We will need 4 volunteers for concessions as well as someone willing to grill for a shift. We will additionally need 5 people for security as well as ribbon writers, runners, timers and scribes.
This is an exciting meet for our swimmers giving them one last chance to improve their times and make it into an invitational meet, so lets all work together to make this the best meet of the year. We will be pre-ordering t-shirts and heat sheets for the meet, please see the attached form. Please submit the forms, along with payment, to either Eric Roberts or Soledad Garza no later than end of practice on Monday! There may be some extra heat sheets or shirts at the meet but no guarantees. Pre-ordering is the only way to guarantee you will receive a shirt and a heat sheet.
Set up for the meet; we will be setting up in the commons area of Klein Collins in a designated space. As we are guests in this facility there are a few rules that must be followed. First, only swimmers and volunteers will be allowed into the ready bench area as well as the pool deck. Second, we are responsible for cleaning up after ourselves, so please take out what you take in and use the trash cans. Third, anyone found wandering the halls of the school outside of the area designated for our use will be ejected from the facility. Klein ISD police will be on campus and monitoring the cameras of the hallways so please make sure everyone in your group understands they are not to be outside of the designated areas.
