CUDATHON - June 2nd, 2015
CUDATHON is back! Our swimmers will again have a chance to see how many laps they can swim. On Tuesday, June 2nd during regular practice time our swimmers will be swimming laps for fun, trying to reach personal goals and raising money for new starting blocks.
Goal Setting and FUN will be the focus again of this year’s CUDATHON. Every swimmer will hear ways from their coaches on how to set short and long-term goals for the season. They will then set a personal goal on how many laps they think they can swim during their practice time. They will be swimming to challenge themselves and help earn pledges to replace 6 of our starting blocks (Pledge form attached to this email) . All swimmers will be rewarded for their efforts. The top 3 swimmers in each age bracket, and the top pledge earners will be honored at the end of season party on June 29th.
ALL swimmers will participate. The younger less experienced swimmers will participate with the aid of a kickboard. As with any extra activity we will need several volunteers to count laps during each practice session. We will also need volunteers to donate and help with snacks after every session. We are looking for fruit donations such as watermelon, cantaloupe, oranges, grapes, pineapples etc. If you are able to help in any of these areas please contact a board member.
You will need to participate in order to receive a CUDATHON shirt!
