Good morning parents,

If your child did not sign up to take part in our Barracuda Buddy Team Building program it’s not too late!!! You can still fill out a form and turn it in to the concession stand at our Black & Green meet this Saturday. Buddies will be paired up this weekend, you will receive an email that list your swimmer/s buddy information, what they like, their name and how old they are. May 17th will be our first exchange; you will receive a weekly reminder on what the item is for that week.

The purpose of this program is to build team unity, bridging the gap between the younger and older swimmers. I will do my best to pair swimmers up who are not close in age, it just depends on how many 11 & up swimmers we have and if they have signed up to be a part of this. This is just a fun team building activity, PLEASE do not feel you have to do something elaborate. Some parents will simply hand their swimmers buddy an item and others will make it more personal, it’s really up to you. The point is to build team unity and for our swimmers to get to know each other.

So how will our swimmer know who their buddy is? Before we start the meet the Coaches will call all the swimmers together to do a few team cheers. After that all swimmers 10 & under will go back and sit with their team mom and the older swimmers 11 & up will come and find their buddy. It is important that all swimmers are sitting with their team mom’s so their buddy can find them.
